• Study data: exams, study sessions, quizzes, flashcards, library materials, and progress you create.
• AI conversation data: messages exchanged with Nova AI, used to personalize responses.
• Usage data: feature interactions, device type, and app events used to improve the product.
• Billing data: subscription status and transaction references (full card details are handled by our payment provider and never stored by us).

How We Use Data

• To provide and personalize the StudyWise AI experience.
• To generate AI responses tailored to your subjects, exams, and progress.
• To operate Nova Credits, subscriptions, and related features.
• To analyze usage and improve features, performance, and reliability.
• To communicate with you about your account, support requests, and product updates.

Legal Basis (GDPR)

We process data based on performance of a contract (providing the service), your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, and legal obligations.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with processors essential to operations (hosting, AI model providers, email delivery, and payment processing) under data-processing agreements, and where required by law.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time. Some records may be kept in aggregated, de-identified form after deletion.

Security

We apply encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular reviews. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

Children's Privacy

StudyWise AI is intended for students aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Your Rights

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
